In ambito sportivo, quando si parla di un risultato parziale, si utilizza il sostantivo “score”, e non “result”, che indica soltanto il risultato definitivo: Il risultato finora è di 1-0, the score so far is 1-0 (non the result so far is 1-0). Quando l'incontro sportivo è terminato si possono usare indifferentemente “result” e “final score”: Ora abbiamo tutti i risultati, now we've got all the results (o final scores).
